Religion and Politics

Mitt will give a speech about religion and politics tomorrow. Will we believe him? I just heard Tucker say we are much less a theocracy today then we were ten years ago much to the dismay of the secular left. Blatant misrepresentation of fact again there Smucker. Did we have a president who said he answered to a higher father when he invaded Iraq.Did we have a FAITH BASES INITIATIVE funded with millions of tax payer dollars. Did we have a corrupt judicial system staffed by Pat Robertson's Regents University Graduates? To quote Charlie Savage of the Boston Globe Graduates of the law school have been among the most influential of the more than 150 Regent University alumni hired to federal government positions since President Bush took office in 2001, according to a university website.Regent University School of Law, founded by televangelist Pat Robertson to provide "Christian leadership to change the world," Have we forgotten the Monica Goodling or John Ashcroft influences on our government?Check out this website for yourself.

So the Question is is it right to ask questions about religion of our candidates. YOU BET IT IS!!! Can we afford to have a religious extremest as our president again as we do in George Bush. Think of George as a mild case what would happen if we had a Pat Robertson as our President! Do we think there should be a separation of church and state? Should we test the next to be President about his willingness to adhere to religion beliefs before the constitution. How do we know?
Just some Ramblings!!
